Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. The Audi Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 Factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the United Kingdom will start operations this year. Our power unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is available at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
In the area of high-voltage storage development, you will work on the key component of high-performance electric drives and contribute to competitiveness in a highly competitive environment. From requirements management and method development to detailed design, you will develop HV storage concepts for high-performance motorsport applications.
This position is available starting February 1, 2026.
Your tasks
• Conducting strength analyses, static & dynamic simulations
• Creating finite element models, evaluating and validating the results
• Documenting and presenting the calculation results
• Supporting and coordinating external service providers
• Analytical pre-design and layout of fasteners
• Further development of simulation methods and processes as well as material models
• Defining suitable test bench tests to validate the simulation parameters
Your profile
• Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the field of structural analysis with a focus on FEM
• In-depth knowledge of materials and the design of composite components
• Knowledge of FE tools such as Abaqus, Optistruct, Nastran and Ansa
• Sound design experience and handling of Catia V5
• Willingness to take on design activities in addition to structural analysis
• Experience in the field of HV batteries and the structural integration of battery cells is an advantage
• Implementation skills as well as a high degree of motivation and initiative
• Strong teamwork skills
• Goal-oriented, independent and structured way of working
• Decision-making and conflict resolution skills
• Experience in working with international companies
• Fluent German or English skills and the willingness to learn basic knowledge of the other language are required
